Make the most of what you eat.
Keep a simple list of what's in your kitchen and a planning date for the groceries it knows, so you can use things first.
- Guest mode for your list. Fridge photos need an account.
- You confirm every item
- Dates from storage guidance
Free during beta. Estimates are planning guidance, not food-safety determinations. How estimates work and what Xpired does not do
TODAY, AND WHAT IS NEXT
What you have, how long it lasts, what to make.
The current beta is designed around the groceries you enter. It does not depend on a feature that may or may not ship later.
PLAIN LIMITS
Only what it can stand behind.
Xpired keeps the current shopper experience small: your list, a planning date, and recipe ideas with an account. Scanner research is not part of the current beta experience.
What you will see
- Start a list by hand without creating an account.
- A planning date from typical storage guidance, not a countdown, or an honest “no default”.
- Recipe ideas from eligible items, with an account
- Fridge photos need an account, and you confirm every name before it is saved.
- Export and deletion controls remain available from Settings when signed in.
- A grocery planning tool. It helps organize household inventory and estimated use-by timing.
- A beta you can evaluate directly. The current iOS beta is available through Apple TestFlight.
“Estimated use-by windows are not food-safety or edibility checks. Inspect each item before use.”
What you will not see
- A food-safety verdict. Estimates cannot determine whether food is safe, spoiled, or exactly when it expires.
- No invented savings promise. We do not claim a weekly dollar amount or measured waste-reduction result.
- A live deal feed: Nearby Deals returns an empty result today.
- Scanner research is not part of the current beta experience.
“This is the date you entered for this item. Xpired has no storage time of its own for this food, so it did not estimate anything and has not checked the item. Trust your own eyes and nose before eating anything.”
A fridge photo is forwarded to a third-party vision provider so it can propose item names for you to confirm; under that provider’s current terms the input is not used to train its models but may be retained up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. Xpired does not evaluate freshness, ripeness, condition, or food safety, as described in the Privacy Policy.
About “Nearby Deals”: no verified live deal feed is connected, so the screen returns an empty result. It does not show price estimates, store pricing, inventory, listings, discounts, or participating retailers.
Free during beta. Estimates are planning guidance, not food-safety, expiration, or quality determinations. Always inspect food and follow labels and official guidance.
No live deal feed is connected · Nearby Deals returns nothing today

The shopper beta is available now. The grocery-store product is coming soon, on a separate business path.
“Coming soon” is directional; no retailer release date is announced.
